2000 ASHRAE Summer Meeting in Minneapolis, MN
June 26, 2000

  1. Minutes Approval
    • Minutes of Dallas meeting February 7, 2000, were approved.
    • TC 10.5 website was announced as in place.
  2. Announcements
    • Daniel Dettmers nominated to Chair TC 10.5 was elected unanimously. Term to begin at the end of this Annual Meeting.
  3. Program
    • TC 10.5 & TC 10.9 have two Forums at this meeting. Seminar is proposed for Atlanta Meeting, January 27 - 31, 2001. Presenters to be Todd Jekel, University of Wisconsin, George Smith, Brian Simkins, and perhaps Dr. Heber, Purdue.
  4. Research
    • Research Committee confirmed as being Gordon Follette, Bill Humm, and Ed Fuhrmann.
    • URP 1154 energy savings project was approved by vote at the TC 10.5 June 21, 1999 meeting. Vote was turned in to Mr. Seaton. To follow-up the question of processing this URP, a new vote was taken (8 in favor, 0 opposed, 1 abstain [Dettmer, who is with the University of Wisconsin]). Review forms to be submitted 06/27/00.
    • URP 1204 Design Guide for Refrigerated Food Storage Facilities was reviewed and a vote taken. (8 in favor, 0 opposed, 1 abstan [Bryan Becker]). Review forms submitted 06/27/00 to Mr. Seatons' mailbox at this meeting.
    • All Research Projects were prioritized (see attached form).
  5. Handbook
    • Chapter 13 - was reviewed. Bill Humm to put into final form with noted changes and submit to ASHRAE in September, 2000.
    • Chapter 10 - to remain as is, with applicable comments by Dr. Reid. Bill Humm to do follow-up.
  6. Roster
    • Roster discussed. Roster changes and corrections to be submitted by Daniel Dettmers, New Chairman.
