2001 ASHRAE Winter Meeting in Atlanta, GA
January 29, 2001

  1. Minutes of June 26,2000 meeting in Minneapolis were approved.
  2. Research Project 1154 RP PMS meeting was reported. The project is essentially complete with respect to the original workstatment, but there are considerable funds left for further work. The subcommittee is considering any additional work they would like the research to perform.
  3. Research Project 1214 - Work Statement was approved. Bidding is delayed until spring due to budget restraints.
  4. Procedures for the Long Range Research Plan was reviewed in detail - Gordon Follette to prepare required work statements for review and approval at the June meeting with the short approval time limits in mind. Dan Dettmers to assist with the work statement for the Dehumidification project.
  5. Wm Humm reports that the Handbook work is essentially complete for this cycle and has been forwarded to headquarters.
  6. Gary Peakman will be chairing a forum titled “How Do We Practically Apply Pressure Relief Freezer Vents?” at the Cincinnati meeting.

    REPORT FROM STAFF:

  7. Committee members are to be aware that the web site is interested in 1 -2 page Technical Bulletins and the Insight Publication is interested in publication of members contribution of 750 word articles.
  8. Short Course teachers are needed.
  9. A Handbook is planned for “Building Maintenance” with committee members from all disciplines. Handbook to cover all types of buildings, ranging from residential to offices and factories.
