    4. PROGRAM - ED FUHRMANN

Brian Simkins reported on the Seminar 22 in Honolulu. Brian encouraged members to make comments on their assessment forms, as the comments are more more useful is assessing the success of a presentation than the number grading system. Attendance was very good and Brian noted that attendees generally rated their knowledge of the topics as being low.

Speakers were sought for another "Basic Refrigerated Warehouse Design" seminar in Chicago. Brian Simkins suggested we not have five speakers, as we did in Honolulu.

      • Ajay Chatlani offered to speak on the "Use of Liquid Desiccant Evaporators in Dock and Freezer Applications".
      • John Miranda offered the services of an individual from Baltimore Aircoil to speak on the "Operation of Evaporative Condensers".
      • Dan Dettmers volunteered Todd Jekel to speak on "Single- vs. Two-stage Refrigeration Systems".

    5. OTHERS

George Smith distributed a paper he feels should be incorporated in 1214-TRP. George talked, at length, on the ill-advised lack of consideration being afforded doorways in refrigeration load calculations.

    6. WEBSITE - DAN DETTMERS

The website needs updating. We have been getting "hits" from prospective committee members, so it would appear the website is attracting attention to TC 10.5, as hoped. Dan will add a page dedicated to the Refrigerated Warehouse Guide, as it becomes available.

    7. CHAIR'S REPORT ON SECTION 10

There has been discussion about the possible consolidation of TC's. There has not, however, been any such proposal on Section 10.
